Indian singer and songwriter Himesh Reshammiya is all set to return as a judge on Zee TV’s renowned singing reality show, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, for its upcoming season in 2023.
This marks Reshammiya’s sixth appearance as a judge, solidifying his position as the longest-serving judge in the show’s history.
Known for his iconic songs like ‘Tera Surroor,’ ‘Aap ki kashish,’ and ‘Mujhko Yaad Sataye Teri,’ Reshammiya is once again gearing up to discover and nurture new singing talents across the country.
Reshammiya said, “It feels great to be back on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa … This season presents an incredible opportunity for the contestants as the ‘singer of the week’ will get a chance to release an original song in collaboration with Zee Music Company.”
He applauded this initiative by the channel, stating it’s commendable, and eagerly anticipates witnessing the journey of top Indian talents.
The reality show follows the success of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs last year and is part of Zee TV’s commitment to introducing viewers to exciting non-fiction formats. It will provide a platform for aspiring singers to showcase their talent and build a music career.
On-ground auditions for the show have begun across India, with upcoming auditions planned for major cities like Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Vadodara, Pune, and Jaipur. Aspiring contestants are competing for a place in the highly anticipated Mega Audition round.
Zee TV has not yet announced the official premiere date for the new Sa Re Ga Ma Pa season, but the show’s return to television is confirmed and eagerly awaited.
