On its fifth day at the Indian box office, Shah Rukh Khan’s “Jawan” continues its record-breaking spree. Directed by Atlee, the film is now the fastest Bollywood movie to join the prestigious 300 Crore club, surpassing Khan’s previous record-holder, “Pathaan.”
After a monumental four-day extended weekend, accumulating an astounding INR 286.16 crores, “Jawan” exhibited no signs of slowing down, with day 5 collections estimated between INR 31-33 crores. The Hindi version raked in an impressive 27-29 crores.
The immense success of “Jawan” is a testament to the film’s wide-reaching appeal. Even before the close of the extended weekend, the movie had witnessed over 1 crore footfalls nationwide.
Day 5 witnessed evening shows observing a significant uptick in viewership, and night shows reported strong occupancy rates. While the India vs. Pakistan cricket match did have some effect, it’s anticipated that the movie could see even higher collection numbers from late-night showings.
Considering the day 5 figures, “Jawan’s” cumulative collections are predicted to hover between INR 317.16-319.16 crores. The Hindi version is set to achieve a notable INR 279.08-281.08 crores within the initial five days. Based on this trajectory, the Hindi rendition is set to touch the 300 Crore mark on day 6.
