Ayushmann Khurrana’s sequel film ‘Dream Girl 2‘ with Ananya Panday is racing towards the Rs 50 crore mark at the domestic box office on Day 2.

Premiering positive feedback, the comedy recorded Rs 14 crore on its second day after an opening collection of Rs 10.69 crore. The film Bream Girl 2 release date is 25th August, and in just two days, its total stands at Rs 24.69 crore, 30% hike from day 1.

This success marks Khurrana’s most impressive opening, surpassing the first-day collection of his 2019 hit, “Bala”, which earned Rs 10.15 crore. “Dream Girl 2 has given me immense love, and I’m thrilled with its box office start,” Ayushmann expressed.

The film, directed by Raaj Shaandilya, continues the 2019 ‘Dream Girl’. Ayushmann reprises his role as Karam, masquerading as Pooja, to save up for his wedding with co-star Ananya Panday.

The star-studded cast includes Paresh Rawal, Annu Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, and others. However, a review on ABP Live mentioned that despite its achievements, the screenplay’s overused social narrative themes could make some sequences hard to digest.
